Chillpak Hollywood Hour #3

Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness have been bringing you YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour (originally titled “From the Heart of Hollywood”) weekly since May of 2007. There are more than 200 of Dean and Phil’s podcast episodes that have not been available for listening pleasure in more than seven years, however. “The Wayback Machine” is our effort to remedy that shameful reality!

Every so often, Dean and Phil will be retrieving one of these long lost episodes from the vaults, listening to it, and recording a brand new introduction and post-show analysis. So, hop in, buckle up and travel with us back to the 21st of May in the year 2007 …

When what we now call “Chillpak Hollywood Hour #3” first became available, it was briefly described as follows:

Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness bring you movie chat from the inner workings of Hollywood’s indie film machine.

And oh yeah… they don’t accept screenplay submissions, just finished films.

In it, Dean and Phil talk about how Dean suffered a rotator cuff injury and how television star Ivan Sergei rescued Phil when he was a stranded motorist. An amazing sounding party Phil did NOT attend and a life-changing party he DID attend also get discussed. And if you were looking for show biz conversations that still resonate today (for bizarre reasons, perhaps), look no further than Dean and Phil’s discussion of Chris Tucker, the Rush Hour movies, and box office reporting based on Wall Street market projections.
